Our red sendai miso is a rich, savory style miso that has been slowly fermented over 18 months to bring out an amazing deep umami flavor with hints of plum, apricot, and nutty almond. This miso is perfect in winter soups and braises. It is a wonderful addition to roasted dishes, particularly beef, duck, roasted veggies, mushrooms, and grains. On the barbecue, Red Sendai Miso will greatly enhance the smokey goodness of your favorite grilled meats and veggies.
Packaged in convenient, 8 oz resealable stand-up pouches. Please refrigerate upon receiving. Miso is crafted at room temperature and is a live, unpasteurized ferment. It will last for months in the refrigerator. We don’t ship miso during the hot summer months of June/July/Aug.
